SERVER RULES & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

This is an 18+ community.

All members must be 18 years or older. Underage members will be immediately removed and banned until they meet the age requirement. We comply with all Discord ToS, Funcom/Dune Awakening ToS, and applicable laws.

Absolutely NO:

Harassment, stalking, or targeted attacks (in-game or Discord) Hate speech, discrimination, or prejudice based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic. Doxxing, sharing personal information, or real-world threats. Sexual harassment or unwanted advances. Bullying, griefing, or intentional disruption of others' gameplay. Use of slurs or derogatory language, even "as a joke"

The following content is strictly forbidden in all forms (text, images, links, usernames, avatars):

Sexually explicit or pornographic material. Child abuse, exploitation, or sexualization of minors. Gore, graphic violence, or disturbing imagery. Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. Illegal activities including piracy, drug trafficking, or weapons trading. Terrorist content or extremist propaganda. Malware, phishing links, or scam attempts. Any content violating local, national, or international law.

Strictly forbidden:

Using hacks, bots, scripts, or unauthorized third-party programs. Exploiting bugs or glitches for advantage. Duping items or currency. Account selling. Real money trading (RMT) for in-game items/services. Intentionally crashing servers or causing lag. If you discover an exploit: Report it immediately via discord. Do not use or share it. Penalty: Permanent ban from server and report to Funcom.

Consent is mandatory for all PvP encounters. No attacking players without explicit agreement. Official PvP events have separate rulesets (posted in advance). Deep Desert follows same consent rules. No spawn camping, base camping, or grief killing. Looting rules must be agreed upon before engagement. Breaking PvP consent = 7-day suspension (first), permanent ban (second)

Do not impersonate staff, other players, or official entities. No creating confusion with similar names/avatars. No false reporting or fabricating evidence. No catfishing or identity deception. Penalty: Permanent suspension of account

No intentional server disruption or DDOS attempts. No exploiting game mechanics for unfair advantage. No undermining server economy through exploits. No coordinated attacks on server infrastructure. Report all bugs/exploits through proper channels. Penalty: Immediate investigation and likely permanent ban

Treat all members with respect and courtesy. No drama, flame wars, or public arguments. Disagreements should be handled maturely via DMs or tickets. No mob mentality or brigading against individuals. Keep criticism constructive and respectful. No passive-aggressive behavior or subtle harassment.

Primary language is English in all public channels. Other languages welcome in designated channels. No spamming (text, emotes, images, or voice). No ear-rape, voice changers, or disruptive audio in voice channels. Keep discussions appropriate for channel topics. No excessive caps lock or special characters. No advertising without permission.

For Streamers:

Follow all platform-specific rules (Twitch, YouTube, etc.) Respect other players' privacy (blur names if requested) No stream sniping or using streams to gain advantage Tag content appropriately for mature themes

For Viewers:

Support streamers positively. No backseat gaming unless welcomed. No stalking streamers in-game. Keep stream promotion to designated channels

Honor all trade agreements. No scamming or fraudulent trades. Market manipulation is prohibited. Price fixing or monopolies not allowed. Use official trading channels/systems. Screenshots recommended for high-value trades

Be patient - staff are volunteers. Report on Discord or in game.

Appropriate usernames required (no offensive/confusing names).

Please make every effort to be civil, generous, and kind.

Respect all guild agreements. The goal is a fun PvE experience so cooperation and generosity are encouraged. Certain things like landsraad are what they are. Faction balance is up to funcom.

Register for events through discord channels. Follow event-specific rules. No exploiting event mechanics. It’s a game and all this is free really so just enjoy yourself.

Maintain character consistency. Respect ongoing RP scenarios. Indicate out-of-character chat. Consent required for major character actions. Lore-friendly names strongly encouraged!

Respect claimed territories. No blocking resource spawns. Share rare resources fairly. No hoarding critical materials. Follow server-specific building limits

Rules may be updated. Spirit of rules takes precedence over letter. "Loopholing" is considered violation. Ignorance of rules is not an excuse for breaking them. Check #announcements regularly

I do not want to limit access to the server, but if there is repeat breaking of the rules we will have to gate access. This may come in different forms such as site membership.
